Here is a help for you to answer any of your questions and concerns.
These are the Trainings and tools that I have and that are available upon request.
Swedish Relaxation Massage. This massage uses long, flowing strokes combined with kneading and tissue manipulation. One major goal for this is relaxation. This technique is best for those with anxiety and depression.
Therapeutic Deep Tissue Massage. This massage uses compression, friction, and vibration techniques along with less oil/lotion. One major goal is pain relief. This technique is best for those suffering from pain and needing relief.
PreNatal Massage. This massage is specific to the goals and needs of a pregnant woman. Clients must be past the 1st Trimester. Techniques and pressures used will depend on frequency client receives massages.
Sports Massage. This massage is specific to the goals and needs of an athlete. Each session will depend on several factors: i.e., sport, position played, previous injuries, and timing of the session.
A comprehensive evaluation before the session is a must.
Oncology Massage. This massage is for those who currently have cancer and are actively getting treatments. The massage helps reduce side effects like nausea, headaches, and migraines caused by cancer treatments. A comprehensive evaluation before the session is a must.
Chair Massage. This massage uses a special chair and does not require client to disrobe. This massage is great for those with limited mobility, touch aversion, and issues laying down on back or sides. The chair is often used in situations with multiple people and limited time frames.
Trigger Point Therapy. This technique is used in conjunction with therapeutic massages and targets knots that are close (or on) nerves. These knots have distinct pain patterns and often refer pain to different locations.
Myofascial Releasing with Instruments. A technique using smooth-edged tools that gently scrape the skin to improve circulation and promote healing. This can be used to treat chronic pain, plantar fasciitis, and help promote lymphatic drainage, especially in post-surgical areas.
Percussion Gun Therapy. The use of a percussion gun can help aid in warming tissues and disrupting pain signals. This is often used in therapeutic sessions with bodies that are extremely tense (athletes and those in high stress or physically demanding environments).
Cupping. An ancient healing technique using suction to increase blood flow and bring the body back into a state of rest. AweSam Massage uses a dynamic style (a moving cup). While this technique can be intense initially, the pressure can be adjusted to your comfort.
Hot Stones. This technique uses hot stones to relax tense muscles and help the body return to a state of rest and relaxation. Because of the intense heat of the stone (especially when used with oils) stones are never left sitting on bare skin without a barrier between the stone and skin.
Aromatherapy and Hot Towels. Essential oils are available upon request. Some lotions and massage oils are already scented. All scents are available upon request.
Hot towels are prepared and available for every session.
